Our Ensembles
Ignite Choir
Ignite Choir is our intermediate level ensemble for children ages 5 to 13 where fundamentals of choral singing are learned. In this ensemble, children will increase their music proficiency, and develop performance skills in a fun and interactive environment.
Members perform in live concerts and participate in at least two music videos per season. The choir has collaborated with noted artists Peter Breinholt and Ryan Shupe in live concerts. The Junior choir is directed by Katie Houts.
Children's Choir
Children’s Choir is the heart of the Rise Up choral program. It is an advanced-level performance ensemble comprised of talented children ages 7 to 18 who have strong music and performance skills. The choir performs live at professional, community and private events throughout the season and produces several music videos each year that are streamed on our YouTube channel and across many social media platforms. The choir also collaborates with other renowned artists and presenters for live events, music videos, and professional recordings. Past collaborators include Gentri, Broadway stars Dallyn Bayles and Elisabeth Evans, BYU Vocal Point, and American Idol-winner Taylor Hicks. They won the Utah Music Video Awards’ “Best Music Video Award” for their stunning rendition of “Speechless." The choir was recognized by the #1 KPOP band BTS on Twitter for their cover of “Dynamite,”which was also named “Best Cover of Dynamite” by KPOP Chart. The Children’s Choir is directed by Scott Shattuck.
Amplify
Amplify is a small, mixed voice, advanced-level ensemble for young people ages 11 to 18. The group sings a diverse repertoire of songs from the contemporary, pop and a cappella genres, and performs at professional, community, and private events throughout the season. They also produce several music videos each year that are streamed on the Rise Up Children’s ChoirYouTube channel and across other media platforms. Amplify performs and records with other renowned artists and presenters for live events, music videos and professional recordings. Amplify is directed by Scott Shattuck.
Lumina
Lumina is our newest advanced-level all-female ensemble for girls ages 11 to 18. The group sings a diverse repertoire of songs from the contemporary, pop and a cappella genres, and performs at professional, community, and private events throughout the season. They also produce several music videos each year that are streamed on the Rise Up Children’s ChoirYouTube channel and across other media platforms. Lumina performs and records with renowned artists and presenters for live events, music videos and professional recordings. Lumina is directed by Amy Lynn Whitcomb.
